Anybody really actually use these things? Guys, you carry a palm around all day in your pocket? You sync at home and work? Do you really find it useful? Please explain why and keep it to Palm Pilots only, no pocket pc's, I don't care about those. I'm a mac os x user, with a sony clie t615c, missing sync and a tiBook. holla!

Palm Tungsten... mainly use as address book and for scribbling notes..
only sync at home, but that synchs with my laptop thru iSync, which synchronizes thru .Mac to my desktop Mac at work... so at least I have the same address book data on all 3 devices...
now all I need is the bluetooth mobile...

I have a clie, and use it mostly for addresses, my checkbook and reminders when I have to pay bills. Also if I am waiting I can whip it out and play dopewars. I think everyone should have a palm just so they can play dopewars.

I use mine all the time, 3 year old Handspring Visor. Keep notes, address book, datebook, memos. Pretty much all the features. I also have written a few custom databases for things like IP address, etc. Useful for getting little Palm eBooks for different references as well, ASP, CSS, PHP, common TCP/IP ports, etc. Oh, and I love the IP calculator I have on there for figuring CIDR. PocketChess is fun while on the cann. Peace...

I've had a lot of calendars before but I never used them that much, I guess it had to be digital :)
Use it almost daily. Calendar, adress book, notepad, todo list, a few games (touch tetris is awesome!). I sync with outlook on my pc, and I get some newspapers and dinner suggestions through avantgo. I also have a restaurant/bar guide. But if I was to buy a new one I'd try to find one with an mp3 player.

was given a clie, but never found much use for it. i'm going to try missing sync to connect to my powerbook though. might be more useful then. dopewars.

Used to use it mostly for addresses. Then I had to fdisk my computer, so I lost my backup, then the battery died and I lost everything. I gave up on it after that. Went back to keeping addresses on scaps of paper....

I downloaded an app once that turned it into a remote control. An excellent app, trouble was you had to buy an IR signal enhancer to not have to sit one meter from the TV...

simcity is pretty nice on the palm OS also.

The Tungsten plays MP3's reasonably well even without headphones! The screen acts as the speaker!

I got an old handspring. I don't use it everyday, but I do use it a few times a week. Mainly for phonebook, and random notes. There's also this really cool app that has all the subway routes all over the world and that has come in handy many times.
I'm not very good with the synching though. I do it like once a month...

The most useful application is avantgo.com
A useful project management tool can be found at
