What the hell is wrong with using woodgrain bg for you printed work in a portfolio? I like it. the first time I saw it (http://www.weworkforthem.com) I was blown away in regards how wood framed the work so well.
I know it's incredibly trendy, however, I think that a lot of people's work would look much better if it was shot on top of a woodgrain surface. I

wood is sexy. bamboo veneer would be a nice change if you are still against using wood. I wonder why no one ever used carbon fibre ;P
