Im a multimedia designer of 4 yrs and Ive recently found an area that I want to specialise in.

    Motion Graphics/Visual fx/digital compositing.......

these guys are in UK which is good and theyre a visual fx school, one of the best in Europe.

I'm wanting to do the two digital compositing courses, £1899 each but the first course is titled 'digital compositing fundamentals' described as informing the student of how the different aspects of visual fx are applied in the industry so you can choose ur road, and go down it.

the second course is advanced digital compositing.

Now i dont want to do the first course 'cos it'll be a waste of £1899 if already know which road i want to go down, so that leaves me with the second course, but that is advanced, and im not advanced or even entry level...........

what the hell should i do??

You could try talking to the course director about alternatives.

I'm very pessimistic about you advancing a year though, because you would have to really prove to them that you're THAT good.

I'm in first year design, and I know which area I want to do. Right now, they are teaching simplistic stuff (ooh wow, photoshop has filters!), but like you gotta roll with the punches in order to advance.
