What...the fuck...is this...garbage?
http://www.apple.com/trailers/fo… Any real ALna Moore fan would be insulted by this shit, Mina is a fuckng vampire!?! Nemo is white!?! Why, why must hollywood fuck up such a dope property, whatever happened to being true to the source material? The only thing done properly for the film(it seems) is the CG Mr. Hyde and choosing S.Connery for the role of Quatermain. Get ready for another suspect ass movie year, other than Matrix, LOTR 3, and a few others (like X2, Adaptation, City of God, etc.) just get ready fotr a load of crap. I am so pissed now I am going to bed.

the comic is great. HW fucks up many things at the moment...

Have you read any of the recent issues? What's up with Mina's neck, it looks like her and Mr. Hyde were into some ill bondage submisive choking sex shit!?! And she had sex with that prune Quartmain, his age and drug use should insure that he never have an erection again!

I pray to God every night that Terry Gilliam will one day make WATCHMEN...
...as for LXG (even the name is shit!). Disappointed. Looked like a Batman (first one) rip off with the car chase(?) shots.
Then again, how would you put Kevin O'Neil's vision on screen?
Shoulda waited for Matrix guys to finish and then give this story to them...
...now that woulda been extraOrdinary.

looks like total shit

its only a hollywood movie, i wouldn't take it so personally. All they want to do is make loads of money by making something that the mass audience will pay money to see (including families who will buy the merchandise). If you're hoping for hollywood to produce an accurate version of anything that requires lots of money to visualise while also requires a little bit of brain power from the audience, you're gonna be very disaponited over and over again.

"All they want to do is make loads of money by making something that the mass audience will pay money to see (including families who will buy the merchandise)."
Yes. But we're a demographic as much as the 'family'. If the powers that be stayed true to the vision of the subject matter and audience...shit. They'd still make money.
- flippers0
that would be nice to think that Bluejam, but alas most of the cinema going public just want to see action, shit blowing, star casts, and charcters they can relate to.
a happy/action ending is always a winner as well.
Seriousley, its just a hollywood movie, its not something to get upset about, you really shoudln't expect so much from it.
- quamb0
flippers you are so correct.
then on the other hand, we geeks CAN dream for great big-budget films.
LOTR and Spiderman are prime examples of how great source material can be made into exceptional movies.
This all-blockbusters-are-crap mentality is becoming oh so 1990's.
haha sorry, had to say it.
- petzi0
whoa 1990ies? damn, i must be old : ) but i think itßs still like that**

LXG? what the fuck?
Why would somebody as brilliant as Moore who put so much effort in creating the masterpiece that is League of extraordinary gentelmen, let his work and vision be butchered by a bunch of hollywood hacks?
has he no pride in his creation?fuck what's the sequel going to be?
...Vin Diesel in XXX vs LXG?
