This animation that I did is not showing up the same on all computers. At my home computer itsat just the speed I want it to be. And today I checked on 2 different computers (a mac and a pc) and the image fade-in is SUPER slow.

Why oh why??? That is my question.

If there are any more people like Wouter out there who want to post smart ass comments and not help me...
then...
...feel free to do so because I get a kick out of those.

I dont know the time that it is supposed to run at so I cant tell you if it is slow or not for me.

yea, it is kinda draggin a bit. my processor here is pretty slow though (i also have lots of shit open on my puter
what is your framerate?
alpha tweens are harder on a processor then color tweens. and not that it would make all that much difference, but you might wanna have the image fading in from white instead of fading in from alpha: 0
it would look the same, just play a little smoother (maybe).i doubt that is the problem though. did you say you are using squish or flash for this?

are we sharing poopy days, Saf? Let's go for some tea.

I used Swish because I have NEVER EVAR used Flash. And to judge the speed - if its dragging then its slow. At my home computer its a real smooth fade-in.
Does processor speed make a difference?
- Biofreak0
do you know what framerate you're using?
processor speed really only makes a difference if youve got a lot of stuff (especially translucent things) going on at once. i doubt that would be the case with what you have though. it is just a thought for later.

I have a reason to believe that it's 12 frames/sec.

Mayo, some earl grey would be nice.
I share poopy days all the time. My entire site is a tribute to poopy days :)

yea. i think that the default framerate for flash is 12 or 15... im not sure why.
i would suggest bumping that up a bit. maybe like 30fps or something. youll get a lot smoother fades (though it will increase filesize a little).
12fps is gonna be very choppy even running on a fast machine. bump that bad boy up a bit unless you were going for that effect.

Thanks man. I will definitely give that a shot.
But why does it not drag on my home machine? Weird.

I'm on a 533 Mhz G4 w/ OS X.
It's a tad slower than would be nice. Mac Flash plugin is slower anyway.

pretty slow here too...transparent bitmaps always suck when fading...especially large blocks of it...try not to fade too many bitmaps at a time!
Quite like it....very much a Saf-style there! wtg!
