last night i turned on my mac. it's a g4 450 running osX and 9.2 systems. it was set to boot up in osX.
i turn it on, and it starts to boot. the little computer is shown in the middle of the screen, then the desktop loads in and BAM, the screen goes to blue. all my desktop icons dissapear along with the background image.
then the processor kicks in again, the little spinning cd looking thing appears in the upper left hand corner and then nothing, the screen stays blue.
does anyone know what is happening or how to fix it?
thanks in advance.

that happened to me when i installed os X on an older imac. to fix it i had to update the firmware.

try booting up from your hardware test cd... this could possibly lead you to a reason for the problem.
