mac to pc

Im not really switching, but I want to use my computer at home to author and test asp and coldfusion and I'm pretty sure that I can't do it on my mac. If I am going to continue doing graphics on my mac and want a pc just for server stuff what kind of a machine should I get? I don't want too much...because I won't use it. What is a good pc for a good price? Thanks guys!

if you are strape for cash buy a local clone.. i got my p4 1.7gig with 512, 40g hd, 16 vid card for $500 (w/o monitor)...
BUT if not,, get a Dell... not as good as it used to be but still good enough...
if you want looks get Vaio MX

Is 1.7gig fast? What are PC's at now? What about operating systems if i want to run coldfusion and asp?

its fast enough....
get windows 2000.. always stable...
and you can run CF and asp...
there are 3 gig ones
