Never heard of New Media Creative or whatever the other title was.
I gave up on Create Online firstly cos it didn't seem worth the money. You DID get stuff you can't get on the web, but it wasn't enough to justify the price tag.
Also, it was all a bit pretentious - web designers as rockstars at times.
Oh well... Create Online, eh...those were the days...

sad
reminds me when the dreamcast mag bit the dust following the certain demise of the console itself.

True Mitsu, it is sad in a way... Some of the covers were nice - that isometric pixel town was cute.
Anyone got a favourite cover? The client one with a bloody handshake was quite disturbing.

the flasher girl

Man! I knew someone would say that...just didn't expect it to be the 1st one!!! :)

uh, they whored that cover every chance possible.... why would it not be the most memorable?
- timA0
Anyone remember anymore covers cos I can't...grrr...
I used to like the spreads they did on font shops... The identikal stuff was beautiful.

It was better befroe the re-design... issue one was quite re-frshing, but then it started ot get stale... and looked to much like all these pixelly sites you seen these days... Our agency site was going to be in the next issue in the B2B section... will never get to see it now : (

I was in it 18 months ago but didnt carry on buying it as it tried to be too many things. was a real jack of all master of none i thought.

Too dear for 6 squids too!

The 'jobs' section was always good for a chuckle though, wasn't it?!

i bought it a couple of times but never thought it was worth the money. it was all the same stuff you get for free on the web.

only 2000 people were reading it in the end!

jack of all master of none describes it perfectly...
I did a few bits in the Mag, and they were the exception...

They section near the back where they talked to the creators behind a specific site was quite interesting.

I find it hard to believe only 2000 people were reading it at the end... That's crazy!!!

Like they said... it didn't help being based out in Bath or wherever it was

The whole web design industry isn't in London is it... Surely the rest of us count?!

I'm not saying that but it helps to be in the midst of the bulk of it
