I like the feel of the design. The font contrast could be better. As of now they're pretty similar, may be what you're going for tho.
Curious why you left out the black / white version. It's usually how I tell how the logo will stand on it's own.

The yellow one caught my eye first. THe second one I would like is the red but then again red, in christianity can also symbolize the blood of christ or satan. I'd stick with the yellow.
But then again, I am catholic so everything in our churches is GOLD! haha! Seriously though, next time you drive by a Catholic church on a Sunday, count how many cars in the parking lot are gold. I guarantee its more than half! ;)

i'm mostly concerned with the colors at this point...
i spend way to much time on the sahpe, and i'm happy with the current shape... i'm trying to figure out a good color scheme now...

i forgot to mention that i'm doing this on the side for my church, and only getting paid for the hosting....
and btw i've done sooo many shape and logo studies before i got to this one..... i spend way more time then i first tought i would....

Dig, in that case, My personal fav is the Red, or yellow, definatly on the "warm" side of things tho.
The cool colors seem a bit more "humble".
If I had to go business conservative, I like the greenish one best (lower right)

the more I look at it the more I am still attracted to the yellow one. It just says "church" to me more than the others. And I also think all of the other colors are too contemporary for a church logo, unless of course you want to start a cult worshipping spaceships!

Red. Definitely red.
Gives more of a Roman Catholic look.
That is, if your church is Roman Catholic.

watch your leading, keep the spaces between the lines consistant.

i am aware of the small adjustments in the type... like the leading and some kerning...
