Can someone help me out here.
I have made a text scroller in flash which works fine with bring in an external .txt file.
However, it is being used for a news section of the site and i need hyperlinks in the text. So I have changed the scroller to use .html file instead. This also works fine.
My problem is when i go to change the text box properties to [...] Embedded Font it won't show me any of the .html text.
Anyone have solutions to this issue?

hmm, i'm not sure of the limitations in Flash regarding that - but let me know how you fare, as i'm about to go down the same route.

embedded font?
i dont understand.
once you load an external html file in a text box there is no reason to embed a font in teh text box. the font info will be contained in the html document, not in the swf.did i misunderstand you?

I want to embedded the font so that I can can have a vector stle font rather than a dynamic looking font.
I know it can be done because I have seen it on loads of sites!

I had that problem too. Flash only embeds Font, that are really used in the swf. Place a textbox with static text outside the stage (so that its invisible). Use the Fonts you want to be displayed in the dynamic textbox there.

You're using Flash 5 yeah? Feel free to shoot me down but I never found a solution for this in Flash 5. Flash MX allows anti-aliasing of html text but for some odd reason it never worked in 5...
