Do you or someone u know work in design in NYC?
if u do what kind and do u it like?
is the cost of living reasonable?, like whats an average price of renting one bedroom apartment
any info / stories would be cool
+ how much would a few beers set me back?

tis very expensive. You do make a lot of money here, however you have to blow about half of it on rent. Going out drinking can set you back. 4-5 a beer is pretty average. Some places 6, some 3. 1br apts. 1400-1800 depending on where you live. Studios 1150-1400 also depends on where you live. You can live cheaper, but if you lug your ass all the way here. I'd just say suck it up and actually enjoy the city and pay more to live someplace you like.
Design wise, it's up and down. I think that there's a lot of people here looking for work.

you can save a couple hundred by living further into one of the boroughs.
