Give us a black and white version too. While you're at it, give it the ultimate test--fax it to yourself and see how it comes out. Also, shrink it down so we can see how it's going to look on a business card.

i think you should take number three and replace the yellow with the lighter orange/rust color that's in number one. i would also reduce all the grey to one warm grey tone. screened strokes look bad in print in my opinion. make it two colors and save your client some money. also, i agree with biofreak on the gradient placement. the gradient should match the light source that is also creating the drop shadows on the 'core' slices. this is a nice mark! (although i was partial to idea one in the first posting. either way, you've solved this one.

tough choice between the first brown and orange or the third black and yellow...
overall i think the brown/orange is more pleasing to the eye, but then again the black/yellow is very bold and attention getting, and not necessarily unpleasant to look at either

i like the bottom right hand corner one - navy and light blue

3.5"x2" -- allow between 1/8 to 1/4" bleed area, so work with a canvas of 3.75" x 2.25"

I dont think you need the gradient or the rings around the mark... let the mark be beautiful... hinting at spherical shape and playing witht the idea of 3 dimensions is much more elegant than flattening the shape out with those rings...

let our eyes created the space... our eyes are alot more intellignet than you think!

good luck gabe, your stuff is good.
