does quark usually take once 22meg tiff files and make them 800k qxd files?
i think not.
be having trouble with this stupid shit all day.
dont bother with the "why not indesign" comments.
yes, i'm half bright enough to think of that myself, but this stupid record label i'm dealing with ONLY wants quark documents.
i love dealing with the stone age.
help?

they're linked files. you need to include the artwork and the .qxd.

how do i make the files include the artwork?
i've been at this 3 days now and i'm about ready to gut some little girl's pet hamster i'm so frustrated >:Q

don't think you can. i've always had to inclue all the artwork when sending quark files to print.

forget the young girl's hamster.
i'm going to gut this lady at the printing place.

just make sure you collect for output and they'll have all the necessary links

i have no idea what that means.

when you're done with everything and you're ready to send it, go under File and "collect for output". That makes Quark collect everything needed to print the doc, except for the fonts. if you don't remember all of the fonts you used, go under one of the menus on the top right (sorry, i don't remember which one) and go to "font usage". it'll tell you all the fonts you used. package those up with the "collect for output folder.

just make sure when you are collecting for output, you make a folder for it
