Via the standard view in Dreamweaver I've loaded a gif in for the background of one of my cells...yet, when I publish the gif isn't there.
Any suggestions?

Seriously, someone MUST know the solution to this one

its not looking in the right place for the gif after its published. i cant tell you where without seeing the code, but ive seen this problem before.

check the image is in the TD tage and not the TR tag.

Thanks Mick, that worked.
Do you know why it worked in TR and not TD?
- schjetne0
That's because TD is the table cell.

Thankyou!
I think my background gif seems to stretch the cell though even though they are both the same size.
My headhurts now.

A background gif shouldn't be able to stretch anything. So there's probably something else that's making your cell stretch.

I worked it out, it wasn't the gif, it was the cell and the cell wasn't stretching I think the gif was too small.
I didn't realise that the background for a cell would work like the background setting for an actual page ie. it tiles across the page etc. etc.
If you're interested I may post the page up for you to check out, maybe help me weed out a couple of the other problems I'm having.
