I'm creative designer at a software devlopment company in Birmingham, Michigan, and we're going trough the process of changing our name and identity.
Here is a sheet of different logo studies:
http://www.ideacore.com/logo_stu…
please give me some feedback.A Little background on the company....
We're expanding into the multimedia and www design market, but until now, the main focus of this company was to develop quality improvement software and tools based on a asian methodology, called QFD ( Quality Function Deployment )... but by no means are we trying to look asian :), not that there is anything wrong with looking asian :)...If anyone care I can give you more info on what we do and what QFD is, I'm a creative person, and I found this QFD stuff to be very impresive and full of potential...
Please give me some feedback on those logos...
I persnaolly like Nr 11, but that is also the last one i worked on....
Thanks a bunch

I totally fell in love with the logo mark right above the text "shape study 02" with that angle and all. Have you tried using that mark with text?
I see you have used it in one variation, but I really enjoyed the angle it is in.

no. 1 is looking the best to me. im not a fan of the color choice—it's a little obvious.

No 4 is wicked

You're welcome. I see you have already used that first one on the start page of your website.

The visual mssg. is dope. i personally think the weight of the type conflicts with the beauty of the mark.
Try a version with a thinner version of the font. Perhaps it might relieve some of the conflict.

Wow nice work man! I like them all but would say 5, 8 and 9 are my favorites.
Hey where in Birmingham are you guys located? I used to work just off of Old woodward and Maple.
great work and perfect colors, definitely keep the color scheme as is!
:P

we're right by 15 and woodward :)
to be more exact on adams between 15 and woodward....
in the basement og this office building/shopping mall, called Adams Square...
I hate this building.... but i got to look at the bright side.... i can get a hair cut here anytime... there are 3 (three) barber shops/beauty places on the first floor :)where do you work now ?

all but number six look as though they would fall apart and lose all detail when reproduced over many mediums... I would say number six without the spot gradient on the green, and lose the outline as well as the drop shadow on the text... in addition maybe try photocopying and faxing this logo and see how the blue and green hold up in terms of varying tones... it seems to me they would produce the same grey tone when copied...if that is of no concern then.....OH and one last thing PLEASE be careful of your letterspacing!! that D is getting might intimate with the E...

3 and 9...
really like 9's retro-feel...with the outline et al...there needs to be a bit more spacing between the globe and the typography...
- phlojonaut0
i'm surprised noone likes number 11, or number 11 with the shape study 2 variation...
in any case, i appreciate everyone's comments...

11 lacks the colors/flavor of the others....and looks less like a core.
the others are more powerful then 11 imho.

6 and 5....look really good...i would go with thoughs..and the last orange one is aite..

seems to me..
you could combine the mark with the capital "C" of Core
or even the "o"
either way,
youve got some really great comps to work with.
