i always think the tips of fingers were rounder than knuckles... so that kinda threw me off a bit.

simplify the metalic grill thing that protects the microphone, it almost becomes a solid color at small res .. its to complex in that area

Does the microphone texture have to be so complex (the griddy sort of pattern) it just seems to undermine the simplicity of the rest of the image...
oh and at the risk of being childish i have to say that it looks a bit like someone holding a dick.

... we discussed that in the first thread....
... and I agree that it still looks that way. Sorry!! Keep trying! And the microphone is way too detailed in the top part.
I'd abondon the idea of the hand holding the mic... it's too 'thick'... it doesn't look like an 'i' at all. More like an 'e'.
Show the client what you've done... and talk them out of the hand w/the mic idea... perhaps just a mic for the 'i'... I forgot the point of the hand and the mic anyway.
Maybe use that concept and work it into a logo outside the logo-type...

i know about design and when he can to me with his idea i was thinking this guy is crazy. but in the interest of getting paid i said let me take a shot @ it. i would agree a name like basic productions would be, that basic.
