Not to turn this into a Illustrator v. Freehand thread, but I downloaded the new trial of Freehand MX today and it shows promise. It looks like it runs better than Illustrator does in osx (which isn't a feat, nearly anything runs better than Illustrator) and it seems to have some pretty nice new tools. Much like Fireworks, which for me, hasn't supplanted Image Ready, it looks like it will be a nice tool to have in conjunction with Illustrator.
Although I just tried to open an .eps file and its causing problems.
Anyone else played with it yet? Thoughts?

I got a logo from a client that is in a .EPS format, but its an .EPS vector file, and freehand won't interpret it as line art, just as the box with the line in it. When I open it in illustrator, it has no problem with the file at all. Freehand doesn't seem to want to give me editable paths with anything that’s an EPS file. What gives?

cab.. (in 10) you can make an envelope.. then you can distort it like distort in photoshop.. the envelope even has beziers.. heh.
