I've been working in advertising for 3 1/2 years and I hate it! I sooo fed up with it that I am thinking of a complete career change myself. What were you thinking about doing QQ?

Eventually I want to be a fitness trainer/dietician. I will probably play at advertising until I can afford to re-train in fitness. I just dont wanna be stuck at a desk/drawing board for the rest of my career. Ho Hum.

I hated the world of advertising. Gone back to simple graphic design and have refound my sanity. best choice i ever made, especially telling my boss to fuck off, felt very good.

i've been working in advertising for 3 years now.
i think the "secret" is having your jobdescription as different as possible and not get stuck in just one aspect of advertising.
i for example do; web design, flash, motion design and animation, design, do creative work (writing tv-scripts, comming up with campaines and stuff) as well as art direction ..there's never a dull moment.

Yea, i'm getting my fingers in all the pies but it all seems worthless cos you cant be the best at everything, theres always someone better, and theres only so much you can blag.
