'down', if that means the bottom one's better.

josimar enhanced answers ® are now available! you can now choose between "bottom" or "not bottom" :)
thanks. josimar. please, more. very soon this question won't be *aktuell* anymore.

bottom. no doubt.

go with the arial looking one. down.
no one gets sick of dem dare
arial.

this is Franklin Gothic Medium, not Arial, cab. So, bottom wins by now... :-/
I like(d) the upper one. Somehow this font-mixing doesn't look good to me.
- jevad0
either
- popovich0
jevad, "either" means "both bad" or "both okay"?
- unknown0
as requested:
the bottom one because....
I don't mind the mix of fonts, it's the legibility more than the mix I like. The serif's a bit ropey on the top one. The red's nice too. For something so simple, It does look rather nice.

bottomdown.

I've just asked pips in the office. The bottom won.
Thanks a lot. Going to pitch today. Stressed out...

bottom. cos when u reduce them down theres no way that serif will be readable. it already looks ropey onscreen at that size.
bottom
down

not the top onsorted.

ps: I'd keep the point size the same between all the 'divisions' too
- popovich0
yep, KenDolla. Agreed on font sizes and legibility. For the letter-head I am using the same sans, cause when I test it (immitating faxes by photocopying and manually setting the lightness/contrast) the Franklin Gothic font is still readable even when everything else is just one splash.

nice work then. seems like you figured it out!
- popovich0
the only problem is - I have to present about 4-5 different variants today. I got 3 solid ones. Need at least 1 more.... tight.

different sans serifs + sizes
diff colours for diff divisions
a few thoughts
- popovich0
that's right. I met two out of three CEOs. One wants everything to have PRADA font and be luxurious. The second one says - fuck that, I want my faxes to be legible and I don't want to change the logo a lot,'cause thousands of faxes have been sent out already.
So I have to either find PRADA font or stay with Bodoni or something.. I'm meeting the all three CEOs today. my my..

Design by committee - it never works. I get that all the time with clients when they stand behind me and bicker with each other like old women.
Looks good though - the bottom ones are easily legible.

Leifer, I am supposed to be lucky, 'cause the guys do not have a clue about design and the Prada-one said about something "Woah, I dunno. You are designer, you are supposed to know", which made me think I have some influence on the outcome. I'll be struggling.
