i'm putting together a resume to reflect my web/graphics design background. i've found a few templates but none that seem particularly geared towards the design world. could someone link to a template they use when job-shopping? i realize this can be highly varied, but i'm just looking for a starting point.

For the design world, it would probably be better to design your own, don't you think?
I guess potential employers appreciate creativity and a unique, inspiring style.

i suppose you're right... then again, now that most companies scan their resume's in i also need to follow a structure that the scanner can pick up...

If you're in the US, try letter size, if you're in europe, try a4 size.

black on white. simple. no extraneous bullshit. choose one or two good typefaces. let your work and your experience shine over the 'coolness' of your resume. you'll receive MORE respect if you don't come off as, "here, see i made a cool resume, hire me"
again, let your WORK do the talking for you. and be honest.

Interviews! Yuck! Can't you use a bit of word of mouth?
