uk web hosting?

I've been having a few problems with our web hosting service provided by Demon.
Our site: http://www.rps.org seems to be intermittently stalling and 'timing out' in some cases. Having tested the pages I remain convinced its Demon's service... Can anybody recommend a good UK Web Host for this site?

why does it have to be in the uk?
you want your website to be nearby in case you need it sort of thing?!

well I guess that if you need to call them international calls can get kinda pricey and the time zones make things complicated.

hmmm...exactly - I just wanted to make sure that the tech support, if required, was available without the worry of crossing acres of sky and seas...
and then there is the salute to the great british economy ;-)
