ehm... maybe a bit stupid question but what is the average size for a businesscard... i mean how mani pixels width and height? Thanks in advance!

Wouter, what's the proper way to pronounce your name?
A girlfreind of mine has a brother named Wouter. They are from Holland I belive, but it's hard for me to understand her pronunciation... it sounds like she's pronouncing it 'Bouter'...
can you shed some light on this?

pixel dimensions are dependant upon the resolution. the dimensions mentioned earlier in this thread will not work for print.
you shouldn't build business cards entirely in photoshop. remember, vectors are your friends.

work with a canvas of 3.75" x 2.25" -- do not put any important information or designs in the outer .25" because this is the bleed area and might be cut off.
the final size of the card will be 3.5" x 2"

most bleeds only need to be 1/8" but it depends on what company you use to do your printing
