hey community, my preloader seems to be somewhat stuck.
not sure what's going on, and testing this on dial up is a bitch.
criticism is always welcome, also let me know if loading time is far too ridiculous.
thanx in advance.

i would but without a link i can only think about doing it.
so i thought about doing it.
- edgar_000
forgot...
it helps if i post the link...
- edgar_000
thanks for the thoughts as well!

rock. k... seemed to work fine here.
pc, ie 6.
nice site and work by the way. nice feel to the site and your 3d stuff is solid.
- edgar_000
right on.
wonder why it's so ridiculously stagnant on dial up.then again... modems are so 90s.

T1 - took about 3 minutes (high network activity probably) but the preloader worked.
i thank you for the seizure your animation caused. =) flashing thingies is good for my brain stuff.

Nice work but it might go unseen by many, ten megs is way too big...i would trim that down if you can. From what i saw it's an animation that you might want to link rather than expect people to download through.

works for me too. took about 2 minutes on T1, maybe a little more.
ie6 / xp

no wonder it takes so long to load, the flash movie is over 10mb!!
I waited for 3 mins and didn't load anything, only got a gray screen.
- edgar_000
yeah it's a huge file but...
I love QBN, did you get to see the movie?I suppose if most people can see it then it "must" be ok.
the question now is... is it worth the wait?
heh...
- IloveQBN0
ok tried it again, still waiting for download. close to 6 mins.
dude your preloader saids TIME REMAINING, but the clock is counting up instead!
ok close to 8 mins now, still waiting... ZzZZZZZ
over 10mins.... this better be good. I predict it will take at least 15mins to complete. will check after dinner.

you should find a clever way to load without people waiting.
- 4510
it loaded in about 1.5 minutes, but nothing ever was seen. all i got was a grey screen.
mac osx /ie 5.1 if it had loaded, no matter what it is, it's not wortht he wait. no more than maybe 30 seconds. if i hadn't been testing it for you, i would have presses the back button faster than it started to download.

holy, 20mins and still waiting...
My connection is supposed to be high speed? Why so slow?
- edgar_000
maybe flash 5 plugin can't
play it at all...?
- IloveQBN0
I had the same problem the first time it didnn't play at all. I refreshed my browser and it's playing the preloader.
30mins and it's getting slower and slower.

the pre-loader works, i guess.
although, when i got to 1 minute, it started slowing down and the time went back up.
i'm sorry, but NO flash movie is worth that much of a wait or size contraint.
i have a t1 and a dual processor system and it was way to long and slow.
you need to break it up into separate flash files and learn to make the load optimized.
just so you know, i am on an sgi dual processor workstation running redhat 8.0 linux. flash plugin v. 6. in mozilla.

I tried my best to be patient, but gave up after waiting for over 60 minutes.
