There should be a logo in the topleft corner...just a simple .gif
Why does Safari refuse to display this simple image?

dont have safari here at work but you have this at the end of your image tag:[ /]

I think safari is really fussy

well, that is the way to close XHTML [img] tags....
and XHTML being OMNIcompatible....
...makes me only more confused...
any other thoughts, please??

I downloaded most of your source-files, and this fixed it in safari on my local machine. For the id's "#leftcol" and "#rightcol" in your CSS file, change the display lines from this:
display: block;
to this:
display: table-cell;

Also left out
[?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?]cuz this seems to confuse Safari as well....
