I am looking to but a second monitor.....22" I still don't know what i want.
I am considering the LeCie electron22blue IV or the LG N2200P. I don't know which one is better.....
Or if anything out there beats those two....... your comments please....thank you

Does anyone like using the hood? I've never used it , but I always curious to know if it made a diffrence?
Nice refresh rate for the resolution, I say go for it.

i used to use the hood so my boss couldn't see my screen, my desk was at the perfect angle so that the hood would hide everything.
the lacie's are nice, but i also like apple's display's, that is if your on a mac.

I'm not sure about the higher end, but the brillience monitors from philips are excellent quality.
I use a sony 20" 300sf and a IBM (sony tube) 17" P70, both kinda old, both second hand, both cheap and good quality, hit ebay I guess.. you might get lucky.

i use a 109b from philips, probally the best crt monitor i've ever used.

Yeah I heard that the LaCie are really good monitors. I have one at wrok and i love it. I also heard that Phillips makes good monitors. But i don't know which one would be in direct competion with the electron22.
Ohh and as for the hood i love it and i think it really does keep some of that light away.

what do you think about NEC monitors....the hight end 22" ones?

The Mitsubishi monitors (now NEC/Mitsubishi) have always gotten stellar reviews, better than anything else out there. Take a look at computer arts (http://www.computerarts.co.uk) for reviews.
I almost got one, but I couldn't resist the price of my Dell 21" Trinitron for $700. It's great and reliable.
Dell's also got a nice 20" LCD for a little over a grand now...next purchase : )
