Does anyone have tips/suggestions how to turn a flash movie into a movie suitable for television broadcast? For example a tv trailer/music video etc? If you use the projector mode can you get it on your digicam by firewire? Thanks a lot!

There's always a risk of runtime recording, even if you have a really good connection like firewire. You will most probably have drop frames or video tearing. I would publish the whole movie frame by frame as uncompressed jpgs and use an editing program to create the video sequence. That way you will have full control over frame rate, quality, color correction etc. Plus you can add a soundtrack too.

There's a couple of not-so-brilliant programmes floating around that turn flash to avi. Flashants swf2video pro does it. Event records interations and things.

ive done a few broadcast pieces using flash, and i find the best way round it is using director to export to a quicktime. its able to export everything frame by frame unlike most capture programs that crush the cpu and skip.

isn't there a plug in for premiere or can't you import an .swf into premiere PRO ?
Of course, if it is actionscript I don't think it might work.
Maybe use a screen capture program (video) hypercam and then compress it to DV

just import the swf in quicktime pro and export it in quicktime format. that will do the trick, it worked for me perfectly.

That always fucks up if u've got a lot of complicated actionscript as part of ur animation...
