I was just on the way in to my local liquor store and some punk came running out knocking the store owner lady to the floor. My first instinct was to chase the bastard so I did, never thinking about what I would do once I caught the fucker. I finally gave up and as he was running off he yelled, 'I know where you live', dophf!
So there's 3 acts of stupidity for you.
The punk for stealing what turned out to only be a value pack of porno mags
The store lady for thinking she could stop the dude
And me for thinking I was some kind of saint for an instance there. I've given my fair share of store owners a workout back in the day (never a lady though).
What would you do?

i reckon your a hero.
no stupidity there... unless i read your message wrong..?

I just hope my car doesn't get keyed. No hero, I didn't even catch the bastard.

if helping someone out is a sign of stupidity, then i'm proud of you dummy! :)
- pagedown0
good effort. if you dont do anything, then just as fuked-up as the petty crim. too bad you never hooked the porno bounty tho'...
- petzi0
you a hero!

Thanks for the positivity. I guess the reason I was questioning my action is cause after the whole incident some guy asked "what'd he steal anyway" insinuating "was it worth it" and it just made me think. Yea, I wish I would have caught him, I'm sure someone would have backed me up.

In hope you act like a hero when the person comes back and vandalise your property.
Try reading the book: "Good things you can't do in America"
- dangerboy0
you'll never catch me!
- lifeinsodium0
how are the pron mags working out for you dangerboy?
- petzi0
life isn't that dangerous in america as seen in movies.

Depends what city you live in.
Alot of people carry concealed weapons these days.
Is 20 bucks worth of porno worth
your left kidney.btw- Your intentions were good,
but try not to be a hero over porno mags.

Most people wouldn't have done what you did - and I knwo this doesn't mean shit - but I have a lot of respect for you.
It's all about karma man - good things will come your way.

when chasing someone remember this. flat out... an average person can only run for 1/2 mile. so... in your chase run flat out for a few seconds, then 3/4 speed, then flat out... then 3/4 speed never loosing sight of the guy you're chasing. eventually he will tire and you'll gain enough ground.
to catch him run up behind him/her and give them a GOOD shove as you're both running. his/her tired legs will give out and tumble to the ground.
proceed to bury foot in ass.
repeatedly.

I think you did the 'right' thing. I'm tired my self of bullshit like that. I don't know what it is.-some folks just don't have respect for anything- I'm talking about the ones that don't make a distinction when they're deliberately doing so for humor. And hey, it feels good, even for karma's sake, to act in line with your conscience. Sounds like that guy really should get a beat down. Everybody finds out and learns at some point they can't always get away with shit like that. You'd be doing him a favor or life lesson by kicking his ass.
- fogle0
im proud of you buddy.
- ********0
The fact you went after him is brave and heroic.
I have been in a similar situation not long ago.
What is most important:
Think! Is it really worth the risk in this case?other then that: I applaud your good intentions.

when it comes to robbing banks, am i the only one who roots for the bad guys [sometimes] these days?
i mean, when we watch a western movie, none of us are cheering the sherrif on, we're all for the cowboy doing the robbing.
if someone has balls enough to rob a bank, doesn't kill anyone, and is smart enough to get away -- shit, more power to him
