a smallish (1.5 in diameter or so) rubber stamp made of my logo ( http://scarabin.net/wyrm )for stamping on my artwork and such.
anyone know where i can have this done for cheap online?
the logo is an illustrator file.

Alot of Jr. High / High Schools have Industrial Arts classes as part of their curriculum..... and when I was forced to take the course in Jr. High, one of the things to do was make a rubber stamp.
SO..... to save some money, you could probably approach a school about it, and I'm sure they'd accomodate.

there are materials you can buy in the art section of most craft supply stores (like michaels) fairly cheap.
just get a small block of linoleum and a carving tool.
print our your logo at the right size, transfer it onto the linoleum, by hand or some other means and then simply carve away with the tool to get the shape.
then, just blot it in the stamp ink.
it's pretty cost effective and you have the DIY statisfaction.

this is also a method of printing.
you can buy large presses that allow you to print posters and such from carved blocks.
it's actually pretty cool.

yeah, i thought about that, and about carving it out of wood like a traditional chinese chop.
it's just that in my experience with this printing method, getting fine details and corners is really difficult, especially at small sizes.

i've actually not tried this method before, i've just seen it done and it looked cool...of course it takes loads of time to carve it all out.
i'm just too cheap to pay for certain things though.

its going to be very cheap anyway. under $20 for sure...
i do a lot of 'handmade' kind of thigns in my work... and i have stamps made a lot. i dont know which places online are good, but there are lots of them.
