Whooooaaa, wait a second, I don't hate the French. Nor do I hate the French language. It is very beautiful. Not only French people themselves speak it. I heard it all over Africa, in Canada and even in New Orleans (USA), a derivative of it. The flow of it does have it's own flavor. It's not bad, again it's not bad, yet just doesn't quite cut it against US and even UK Hip-Hop. On another note, who the hell was that joker dude in Finland that thought he was into some 'Clockwork Orange' type thing, wanted to be Emininem etc. That dude was making me laugh hardcore.

yeah,
you can still let us listen to it, right? And let us share some hidden treasures here on NT? This thread is old and I can remember seen a similar one even before this. Why do you hate (the) french so much?
I'm off to look up some of the new names that have come up. I just love the flow in french rap. I hardly understand any of it, but it still sounds awfully nice in my ears. :)

Blend3, I never said anything about the global American market either, so what's that about? And exactly, nobody is forcing me to listen to it, that's why I don't.

Yeah, ok, point taken, yet, I thought we were referring to what is out there today. There is some older US Electro stuff that ain't bad. I don't hate French Hip-Hop and yeah crab, I did like the stuff you sent me. It's just a modern day thing and when you compare the cutting edge factor I would point the other way. US Hip-Hop and Euro Electro is better. Not that there can't be anamolies. Sorry for the double negative. ;)

JasonX,
Actually I kinda fancy some of the old american eloctronica (like Underground Resistance stuff). They were the originators. The point is that europeans pushed it further and the same thing is happening in hip hop. Or what do you think of all of this 2step shit that is really something that grew out of drum&bass (mainly british invention). You really can't label anything european/american anymore and if you diss music just for its origin you are a fool. It is a global market and if americans start thinking they are better just because the country they will be far behind soon. Of course english language protects the market, but you can get accustomed to listening to french stuff real quick.BTW. nobody forcing you to listen to it...
