tattoo your rabbit

You must tattoo rabbits as early as possible, at roughly 6-8 weeks, but no later than 3 months!! Clean the ears out with a "sun cream", or at least a substance with lidocaine in it, allow it to set, then rub some of the tattoo ink in the rabbits ear. and get the pliers in position. Clamp very, very firmly, and quickly. I like to put a lot of pressure on the pliers, I don't have a lot of hand strength. I normally do this with my foot on the rabbit, on a table or the floor or in a armchair, they will jump of course, but if you have the clamps held firmly enough the rabbit will not go far. Expect that some will squeal. Also, position the pliers where you want them and firmly and quickly clamp and release. Release the pliers and rub some tatoo ink in the holes with a small 1/4" paintbrush.Wipe the excess ink off with a spirit (gin, Vodka) on a baby wipe, and cover the area that you tattoo'd with haemorhoid cream, or vaseline And let it set. Easy!

I have problems tattooing mine.
I only have knitting needles and while they are quite effective at securing the young rabbits to work tops, I find they lack a certain finesse. I also find that the mother rabbits find my artwork irresistible and like to eat said small bunnies. What am I doing wrong.

you need to work a rotation system, think of any salon or poodle parlour, they cater for different ages at different times of the day. the knitting needles i've never tried, normal darts, they work, get the rabbits pissed or used cough medicine, that often works,if the eating problems persist, you'd be venturing into rabbit dentistry. i reckon there's a huge market for customised rabbits, plus they're dirt cheap (if you screw up you can just chuck them away).

Mmmm. I normally just feed them beneline or supermarket own-brand cough medicine to keep em quiet. They do very build up a resistance to this though and can become irritable when not feed it evry few hours. Mind that's the benefits of knitting needles. Once secured by the bunny ain't going nowhere. As for using darts... well I to have an unusually weak wrist and fing throwing a chore. Perhaps some kind of crocodile clips might work?
Your dentistry idea is a sound one. Let me just try that now.... oh yes... how Mr Hammer speaks!
Does tattooing interfere with flavour?

harming rabbits eh!?! i'd like to gouge out your eyes and feed them to your beloved rabbits while etching 'i will harm no animal' into your chest with a blowtorch.
