JAWS: lost scenes!!

seen some lost scenes last night...Quint torments a little boy in a musical instrument shop, Quint needs a piano wire...the little boy is playing a flute, needless to say, the little boy loses his composure. oh, yeah, another one.Quint has a dog, which he takes for a walk...it all makes sense. HOWEVER, there ain't nothing on the picture postcard hobby sea captain that emerges from a white house smoking a pipe, with a look on his face like he's just had a vigorous 'skegness is sooooooo bracing' (those of you who know your vintage railway posters will know what he's on about!!

QUINT??? dear me, nairn, quint was robert shaw's WWII veteran sea dog, he survived the uss indianapolis shark attack...was swallowed whole at the shuddering climax..he had a grand pair o' deck shoes to boot..not strictly boot but shoe..

I'm sorry, Barney - my memories of Jaws have been eternally subdued by the horror of watching it at far-too-young an age.
I'll have to do some [land-based] research here.. :)
