Other reasons why its just a gimick:
_USB transfer is too slow (compares to Firewire)
_Larger than iPod (if you can have the 20GB, why would you need/get a 128MB version beats me, I mean its not like the person who buys such a product or an iPod would not have enough HD and pocket space)
_Who records radio anyway? and recording is what your computer's for
_Fiddly controls on a bad copy of iPod body
_If you are going for a MP3 player, why not the best?

the new YEPP-900 from Samsung will broadcast playlists on open FM channels as well. It got TechTV's "Best of Show" at CES.
I'm looking at the Neuros press kit as we speak, and I saw it at the show. it's a good looking unit. But I still think the iPod is the thing.
Though I'm really partial to the Archos jukebox -- the one with the color LCD that allows you to store and view digital images in addition to audio files.

I'd guess that this thing has a USB 2.0 interface like pretty much everything else these days, and FYI, USB 2.0 is faster than firewire, especially on the bursts.
I've got an external 80GB Iomega USB2 drive and as a scratch disk for photoshop, you can't even tell the difference between it and an internal HD.

reason2-who are nueros?

my father's friend's with the president of the company... but i have been convincing him that he should buy an iPod for a while now. he was certain, but after talking to his friend, mr. neuro?, he's not as convinced. trying to come up with reasons to still go with the iPod.
