you should wait till the bottom drops out of the rental/buying market and then move somewhere real nice like belsize park/hampstead/golders green.
most of my money goes on rent eh..but fuck it - i live right next to hampstead heath - it's quiet, very safe, mad shops restaurants and clubs nearby....

I live just off Tottenham High Road. LoL.. *sigh* I've seen armed police entering neighbours' houses en masse twice in the past 6 months.
We actually have a pub called 'the elbow room' just around the corner. It's no relation to the... decent pluralised version, but they do sell draught ale at a quid. Which says a lot about the area, methinks.
Depending on whether I get the job I interviewed for today, I'd love to actually meet some of you guys .. I've been promising myself I'd come down to one of the sesh's.. but I don't know you well enough to skank drinks off you just yet! :)

Chook, don't move North, it's grim up there, I lived in Wood Green for a year and there's nothing to recommend it apart from the 24hr bagel shop and that's no reason to live in such a shitty area.
