- ahmed0
no.
- unknown0
yeah like in 1999 I think
- CAJTBr0
so some guy called you out for lying in the masons thread. you were lying in the trade thread, and now you're claiming you saw a film 3 years before it finished production?
- unknown0
no man what are you talking about. I was not lying in any of those threads nor here. I am mistaken then about the title. It probably was in Portuguese in the first place and was translated. HELLO?
- unknown0
please CATJTBr you don't even post a website, don't even go there man.
- eyoto0
Dude the film just won a golden globe for best foreign film! It's a flick about the slums and gangs in Brasil! you must see it!
- unknown0
sounds nice, I thought you were referring to that film set in Brazil about the orphan boy made like in 1999. Remember?
- CAJTBr0
HELLO? back. do some research. cidade de deus, the original version finished production in 2002.
i would have assumed you were mistaken about the title, but 5 minutes after some guy told you to stop talking shit in the masons thread and 10 minutes after i replied to your made up trade information i drew my own conclusions.
- eyoto0
Oh right different flick = )
- unknown0
keep going with the trade talk, I know I am right, check your Passport mate. It says the same things and had nothing to do with ENCRYPTION now would it?
- unknown0
eyota you know which one I mean something like POST something?
- CAJTBr0
alright, say what you want. people reading the threads will draw their own conclusions.
it's just boring when i'm trying my best to waste my time and avoid work, and all i see is people telling you that you're wrong about things. especially when you're accusing some of them of not having a clue when they clearly do. and after i backed you up earlier when you were getting called an asshole.
no hard feelings.

back on topic...
saw it and highly recommend it. has anyone read the book?
I would describe it as Goodfellas crossed with Lock, Stock, & 2 Smoking Barrels crossed with Pulp Fiction crossed with Boys in the Hood taking place in a Rio favelathe only thing that troubled me is that so many of characters were likable despite the fact that they were vicious killers

best film ive seen in a long time

Brilliant film. I went with my capoeira group and a few of them are from favellas in Salvador... they were a rawkus crowd to watch it with! I don't know if it is going to encourage many people to go to Brasil though...

Going soon (this week). Will; it help me get a flavour for Brasil? I'm going there in a month you see.
- mrming0
Top notch I thought! Kept a well-mixed audience reading subtitles all the way to the end.
- vespa0
Vinney it will make you watch your back when you are in Brasil, which can only be a good thing!
