I've been bumpin' it for 3 days now. I'm a HUGE Massive fan, but I guess my expectations were too high. This album doesn't come close to Mezzanine, which was ground breaking in my oppinion. The first song has some nice intensity and sophistication happening, similiar to Angel, but the album in whole just doesn't compare.
Your thoughts?

I do not think it shoud be compared to mezzanine. Not one of their albums are alike if you think about it. Personally I am completely inspired by their new tracks. Whatever it is what it is. Good Music. Make sure you purchase their cd though. You have to give back for all of the inspiration they give you. Ok that is sooo lame I have to go to bed.

Shiiiiiit, didn't know it was out.

I think its a beautiful album. Future Proof is perhaps the best song on the record. Overall it gets 4 stars out of 5. Love it!

REALLY? The follow up is no good? Ohhhhhhhhh no!! I mean Mezzanice was so fucking good, it's kinds like Prodigy never eing able to live up to their early stuff. SUCKS if you ask me, they are doing TOO many drugs then. Their early stuff was VERY groundbreaking and great use of samplers etc. SHIT!!

jason, do you actually ever think before you open your mouth and post incorrect info?Do you just enjoy spewing crap all day?
Just slow down, take a deep breath, think once more after your first thought, then post.
dumb ass.

no matter what it's like ('cos its not officially out yet - you know, where you pay dosh for a shiny compact disk...), I just hope it does NOT sound like Mezzanine - it was a good album, until every studio or café or wannabe who think he/she's got taste start to kill it...
so sad a lot of good music gets killed and become commercial... lets hope this is not another one

i've had it since the start of the new year, and i've let it sink in.
i love it. it's no Mezzanine, but it's still excellent. it's VERY chill, and Sinead O'Connor lends her pipes to a few tracks.

I agree with Audioslave, it doesn't compare to Mezzanine in terms of vocal melodies and sophistication of the electronic layers, but Massive isn't capable of putting out a bad album. Go ahead and pick it up, you're gonna love it... just don't compare it to Mezz.

out today!!! going to HMV to pick mine up in the am.

The main problem with the album is that only Robert del Naja had anything to do with it.

Yeah, 3D only on this one. I recommend listening to it on headphones in the dark.

the new album is wonderful. it offers a new "feel" and sound, while also it mixes alot of past stuff, from Mezzanine & No-Protection. No doubt worth purchasing!

diss a pointed.

It's a bit too 'progressive' for me. I like Massive Attack. However, I'm sure that it may grow on me...

to me, it sounds like they've spent too much time in the studio, they need a bit of fresh air... the 100th window site looks great though, http://www.100thwindow.com/
type "antistar" at the "t/f" prompt for some experimental movies...

anyone having probs with the cd in a mac? can't listen to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the copy-protected thing...maybe...

I've been so eager to listen to their tracks so I had to download the mp3's from kazaa (ordered the cd last week, so it's cool).
But spank my ass and call me Charlie, none of the mp3's work. In none of the most common mp3-players.
Is there a way to read-protect mp3's?? I'm not talking shit here, the tracks seriously don't work.
