It's crazy here in Northen VA & DC. Not only do we feel the evil ooze of the politicians that lives around us, but now people are getting arrested for being DRUNK in a BAR???
I wouldn't believe it, until i saw for myself on our local Fox network.
Here's an article in the Washington Post.

This area is going mad!!! Asides from our houses, where else can we drink now?

Yeah move to England, the land of the free !
This must be the last straw what with your smoking curbs and reefer curbs.
We can do almost what we like in UK, apart from drink-driving. That's taboo.
They even turn a blind eye to spliff smoking, but not dealers.

hahaha... that canada switch ad is pretty good...
it's funny, i get that "if you don't like it here, why don't you just move out?" a lot... funny thing is, i'm almost there... saving up enough money, draining this area for all it's worth and taking my income to spend it somewhere much better...
maybe canada, maybe hong kong, maybe somewhere in europe... we'll see...
but i love nyc, and nyc is part of america, thus i feel the need to stay here and make america better...
but nothing will help this stinkhole named "Northern Virginia / W. DC"
Give me a job in nyc and i'm outta here!!!

Hmmm, I remember one night at this party, this little Asian dude was so drunk, he had to be restrained from leaving. Finally, he was so belligerent, he had to be driven home to HIS PARENTS' HOUSE!!! That is one guy who should not be drinking when he has such a problem, and certainly not posting to a forum about it. 'Course, he was pretty plastered, so he may not remember it.
Thanks for your fuzzy feelings about America. Keep it better by staying off the road when you're too drunk to drive. You're lucky your friends were there to help you, or you would probably be in prison right now on a vehicular manslaughter charge.

i've been arrested twice for being drunk. not fun waking up the next morning in a 8x8 cell not knowing where you are or how you got there. good times.
i can't imagine some plain clothed officer coming up to me in a bar... 'politely' grabbing my arm to take me outside. me not knowing who he is i just see a guy starting trouble and lay him out... THEN get arrested for hitting an officer. ugh...

Man.. that's almost as bad as prohibition.. I mean, it's entirely justified if they're targeting drivers, but beyond that? Jesus - welcome to Amerika of the 21st Century, and say hullo to your friendly Bigger brother..
As for smoking here in Blighty, my housemate was pulled by the police after their SNIFFER DOGS pointed him out as he got off the tube - WTF?! These Stop'n'Search powers are ridiculous - how can that be legal?!
.."Little Asian dude"s going home to Mom and Pop - what the fuck are you on about??

I'm with chadwick(ancientartz)
wash dc is getting lame-the best thing i've seen in a while since living here has been the biennial show at the corcoran.other than that i think I'm west coast bound ahh sunshine and low brow art here i come!
- ancientartz0
hahaha... woh!
yes, i am that dude that got completely drunk and i remember it well. and believe me, that was the last time i ever did that.
personally, i thanked my friends and those who kept me off the road that night.
it was a lesson well learned and burnt into my skull.
and i really appreciate you telling this to everyone here. you are as much of a man as i was that night.
and for the record, i don't drink in dc anymore. i never understood the dangers of drinking and driving until that next morning. heck, i never had to drive when i was drunk in nyc, boston, and providence. it was the first house party and party that i ever went to when i moved back here.
so now i'm usually designated driver, if and when i do go out here. and if and when i have a drink, i usually limited to the 2 drink, wait 2 hours rule. with the help of water too ;)
and by the way, "saw u drunk"... i love how you just created a name to hide behind of just to post my private life online.
you are a coward my friend. i make mistake like any other human being and i admit to them.
it's people like you that makes me hate this area. two-faced and cowardly.
i'm sure you have never made a mistake in your life before.
think about that. or just go ahead and laugh. i'm sure you are a good person inside.
maybe.

Oh.. I see - LoL..
..Busted!I can't help reading your name as 'Ancient Tarts'..!
- TransFatty0
thats kinda funny ....
so basically what they have on their hands on any friday or sat night is a state full of hundreds of thousands of Drunk Fugitives.well done.
- ancientartz0
ah man, yeh...
what can i say, you make one mistake one night and it lives with you the rest of your life.
like he said, thank god i didn't wake up for manslaughter charges.
it's pretty interesting, i think i'm a good person, i don't go around insulting people, i help others when they need help, and i stick up for those being belittled AND THEN, i get creamed by strangers that only met me for a night.
this world is sad. i've never been more discouraged about people since i've moved here.
heck, i even stopped my car on 66 once to help this out out of his wrecked car after he wrecked it driving drunk. the first thing i thought of wasn't, "gee, what a jackass"...
the first thing i thought of was, "i'm glad no one was hurt. you or any other innocent people"
anyway, i can go on forever.
i just know i learned a lot that night. and that was 2 years ago too!!!
let's move on!!!
- mitsu0
nope, transfatty,
not enough pple with prosthetic limbs, dude
- exador0
yikes
the attacks around here are getting mighty personal me thinks.

I used to have a battered old Vauxhall Corsa (Nova) that was great for 'rallying' around the fields near my home at nighttime when I was young, drunk and stupid. I've never laughed more than when I buried half the bonnet in a pile of sand, and had to get 5 drunken friends to pull it out.
Jeez that was stupid.
- ancientartz0
yeh, it's amazing how fast and out of nowhere liquor can hit you.
especially when you're as light weight as me. i have almost no tolerance for liquor.
i can't imagine a life of an alcoholic. it must be sad.
oh man, you know about my math teacher incident???
;)
- ancientartz0
hey kona, glad to hear you're okay after those two incidents.
it's all good, as long as you learned.
i've heard a lot of drunk stories in my life. i'm just glad most of them ended up funny, and not tragic.
