HiRes PDF Hell *HELP*

I am looking for answers if anyone has them. If you work with exporting out Quark docs. to PDFs on a regular basis, please chime in.
I just redid 65 HiRes PDFs. Not cool. Here's why.
The ads have a thin .5 rule around the border. The ad size is 7.61 by 10 inches. The .5 rule is zerod on the Quark page and is exactly 7.61 by 10. For some reason, the right side of the rule is getting cut off. Very bad. Especially when there are 65 versions to redo.
Our only theory is that Distiller rounds off to "tenths" of a point. So what was 7.61 is now 7.6 wide. So that .01 area on the right where the little .5 rule lived is now gone. And the right line gone with it.
We added centered crop marks in our Quark prefs. and that worked. Giving it enough air around the ad to let the little line live.
But can anyone shed some light on what may be the real deal with this problem. Does Distiller do this. Or is it a Quark issue.
Anything anyone can tell me would be super beneficial. Since I do alot of these on a daily basis.
thanks in advance. I will be over here pulling my hair out.

print it out, it might actually be there.. ive had the same problem before.
if need be, you COULD just open them all in illustrator and add the borders.. it beats re-exporting and distilling...

thanks kerus. the problem actually became apparent when i did print them out. it appeared fine on screen but then wasn't there upon print out. the pubs that had received the file confirmed this. so it wasn't just our printer going wacko.
anyone else know anything about this issue?
thanks,
