Any opinions /recommendations on a virus program for da G4 Powerbook?
I was thinking Norton or Virex...

Well that's the two most popular... but in 8 years I've only seen one virus that could have affected my Macs (and that was only if you used Outlook)... and a few Word-based things... basically all Microsoft related...hmmm..

I think if you keep your software up to date it's close to invincible(maybe even running Micro$oft apps).....plus software update rules......one click update or no-click (automatic).
Doesn't get any easier to keep the evil demons at bay! OS X is certainly incredibe.
An apple a day keeps the......

last visrus for the mac the wrecked havock was the auto start virus back in 97 i think. it was actually a 'worm virus' if i recall. but to answer your q, i never worry about viruses, and if you keep up with any mac related news sites, they will announce any that may show up so u can keep a eye out.

with OS X and unix macs are virus prone- Unix viruses exist in numbers and the can effect the core of your operating system the same way they crash servers...
Dont go on thinking "oh I have a mac I'm okay" because the day when a worm eats your shit you'll come here bitchin about Apple... just get the software-
Virex is what Apple themselves use so its your best bet.
