how are the special paper iron-on transfers that you can print off your computer? do they fade a lot? whats your experience with them...do they print good?

New transfers are much better than they used to be but still fade with time. My experience is that they are good for a few wears before starting to look worn.

transfers print very well.
they last relatively long.
just be sure you iron slowlyand make sure all of the picture has transfered to the fabric before you pull it off.

I did some and they started cracking apart in 4 to 5 washes.

Smaller designs seem to work better than large ones.
Although it may only be because imperfections are easier to see in large format.

iron-ons are extremely effective considering their cost. great way to make your own stuff, and they stay relatively sharp for 5/6 washes.
