This is a headf#ck !
I have a 360 panoramic image stitched together from 12 individual portrait format photos. Like this:
I have create a type of VR viewer in Flash MX but discovered to my horror that this panoramic image seems more like 180 degrees than 360 degrees. Its extreme weirdness.
I need to know if there is any software or utility (QT VR software?) or clever PS technique to render it flat (less fisheye) and seem more like 360 degrees from my FlashMX VR viewer.
I hope that makes sense to someone out there.
First person with the correct answer wins a Mars bar, we are all stumped here.

why do the photos look so fisheyed in the first place? they should look flat. did flash mx add the effect when you imported or exported?

It was the way the cameraman took them.
The panorama was stitched to gether using QT authoring studio from 12 photos.

Its optimised for QT VR rather than Flash MX because QT VR movs distort the photo back to how it should normally look like when viewed as a .mov

get the guy who stitched them together to export it as a .psd.. If I remember correctly it doesn't distort them like this if you export it as an image!
or you could get the original photos and stich them together in photoshop.
other than that.. erm
