there are over 3 billion webpages on the net right now, and 35000 new web pages comes online each day.
i wonder how many web designers there is on this planet?
maybe i can get a jobb as a webd. after all .

most of those 'pages' are not designed by webdesigners, most of them are auto-generated thru site updates....such as you may find on Amazon.com...
There is a difference between webpages and websites...
You better take a look at the website figures...

I bet 50,000 new webdesigners come online each day.

no dude.. you bet 50,000 people TRY to web design...
Just becuase u own PS doesnt make you a designer...
having a gun doesnt make you a killer.. being an accurate shot does.

these figures have got to be wrong. if it's talking about websites - there's no way that 35000 new websites come online every day.
if it's talking about web pages it has to be way more than that. an average daily newspaper site must put 100 pages online per day (and there must be more than 350 of this type of site). then you've got a forum like this, where each time you hit 'submit' you're adding a new page to the internet (technically it's just adding to a database, but as a web server's directory structure is essentially a database anyway it's the same thing). there must be many thousands of this type of forum.
where did you get your stats from, herbicide?

we're just pulling them numbers out of our arse. :)
at least i did

35000 new websites a day doesn't seem high at all. I know of at least 5 new sites being built this month by people in the small city I live in..... I'm sure there's another 209999 people who know the same..

these are not good news, the good news were in 99 were 50.000 new users came online each minute and they were perfect target for banner advertising, especially those popups that look like windows is about to crash if you dont click ok.
those were the days of cash generation.

they still exist, sadly.

i got the numbers from a newspaper article about the guys at google.com.
it also stated that google uses 0.5 seconds to search all the pages it has listed.
i don`t know if these numbers are correct.
