dude... fucka Safari. Why even bother?!? now this piece of shit is gonna try to rival explorer?!?
Apple is like about 6 years too late to try to get with the browser wars. geez. I refuse to QA for that crap. Fuck I don't even have Nutscrape 6+ I'll give 4.7 a wink but I really am over this browser war bullshit. For better or worse IE won!!!

Various members of the Flash community have been reporting low frame rates when using Flash in Safari. I'm pleased to report that we have corrected the problem. The issue was not in WebCore, so I can't post a patch, but the issue has been addressed.

yup, I gave up on NS too, like I said I'm lazy, I dont go around downloadiing browsers for fun y'know-I just dont get my kicks that way. I'll probably stick with IE but I'll more than gladly 'switch' when something to match comes out.
where;s that Stella?

Safari is the best browser I have tried yet..honestly. On a mac, that is. IE/netscape is a little crappy on the mac..
Just very worried with Flash performance, being a flash developer. Flash performance has always been a problem on a mac.. mac ie and OSX finally boosted it.. But now with Safari we are back to slowmo again..Anyhow.. have a good weekend..

havent tried safari cause im rockin os 9 still. but sadly i feel ie is the best mac browser. jobs wont get me to upgrade to X until it's absolutely nesesary, or if he mixes in a os9 emulator on X.

I dont think the goal of oferring a new browser is to compete with "microsoft"... Safari was introduced because microsoft dicks out on mac developement... plus it seems their goal is to offer better perforance and follow standards not just make them up when they seemed pleased like IE. This isnt a war shithead- its about performance and preference. To say "micorsoft won!!" is childish and absurded. The internet is young, less than 12 years old (considering). That's like telling ABC that to forget about another TV channel NBC already won!!!

by the way, this is the reason why there's an update so quick:
http://apple.slashdot.org/apple/…
"There have been many problems reported with Safari on Apple?s discussion boards. The two most prominent are that option-clicking on a link to download can replace your Home folder with the downloaded file, effectively nuking your Home folder. The other has been reported as a printing problem, but is far worse. The printing problem occurs because Safari deletes /tmp, which is a link to /private/tmp."

If anyone uses a 2 button mouse...are you able to right click Flash movies??

I've tried them all, and I still feel this is the best way to go for an OSX browser.

Bon Seff: OS X has a "Classic" enviroment built in that can run most OS 9 applications.
BTW, I love Safari. Is good to have options.

I use Safari more then IE. If they keep up this could be a real MS IE killer!
Especially NT loads faster in Safari.

oh, and no more crashes when loading another page in the same window NT is in. Not like IE.
wtg, Safari!!!

Safari Enhancer:

not incredibly useful, but interesting to play with
