This is how it is:
I´m working with a musicproject (just doing the design work; logo, sleeves, presentations, etc.).This is a commercial dance/eurotrance project and they arent signed yet .The idea with my work is to do a design that recordcompanies just cant resist. Now to the question:
Theese guys wants to call themselves "Switzerland". Dont ask me why... There´s abolutely no connection to the country. This is a sweden-based project and we (my company) are gonna take care of their marketing and stuff.
I really think the name sucks!
What is your thaughts of this name for a euro/techno/dance act? Really... I need to talk them out of it. I mean.. Switzerland??

Must be a new thing. Last weekend I heard a group called "Soviet" for the first time. Good stuff. They even had Dziga Vertov quotes on thier liner notes.

Well... That i can understand =)
or almost anyway... Using the old trademarks of Soviet is understandable. Its usually powerful. But Switzerland?
I just cant see it..
