As I post this I'm looking on Google. I need a program that will convert a flash file to a SCR file. I'm making a screensaver in flash.
Or, is there an easier way to make one. PC unfortunately.
Thanks in advance.

sreentime for flash
converts projectors(EXE) to an install EXE that will install the screensaver when you execute it. There's a screensaver on my site you can download that was created with this software.

well, a .scr file is just an .exe with a different extension.

Not sure about that one. If that were the case you could rename an EXE as SCR and it would work. SCR is a set of screensaver instructions that tells and exe to execute, and often includes an embedded program or exe in it.

no, trust me, i've written OpenGL screensavers in C++.
try it yourself, copy a scr file and rename it to an exe and run it. you'll get the configuration window for it. Run it with a -s option and it will run the screensaver.

Microsoft loves that kinda shit :P Like the boot and shutdown screens having .sys extensions but in reality being plain bitmaps.

so basically your saying just rename the whatever.exe file to whatever.scr and it will work!?!
rad.

well, no, i said that .scr files were executables, but if you just rename a plain exe to a scr file, it will run it every time you select it in the screensaver chooser and when you click on the settings, unless it checks for the respective command line options, which im not sure if flash can do.

You need a program to do this. Screentime installs an SCR file in your windows/WINNT directory and copies across the flash EXE. The SCR holds all the screensaver info and settings that tells the screensaver to turn off when ya mouse moves.

I hope you enjoy your "Evaluation" version :P

You want to go to http://www.flashjester.com/
and buy their Creator software.
Screentime is ok...but it adds 500-800k in file size which plain sucks... BUT..it has dual monitor support
Flashjester has smaller file sizes, will output to an SCR also...BUT...it will play the screensaver across both monitors splitting the screensaver which sucks.

Will Flash Studio Pro make Mac-friendly screen savers too?

how do you create a screensaver to run on 3 monitors at the same time? ( like that maya paint fx screensaver)
