sounds like the RAM might be the least of your troubles ;)

well what would be the most of my troubles?

Second the newegg.com recommendation.
Also try mwave.com
I've used both pretty often; not much difference between the two except Mwave ships UPS and Newegg ships Fedex.

Ok..
http://www.abspc.com is one of the young and very very very good computer manifacturers.
They have kick-ass systems with RAID stripping and very low prices. They won numerious awards in PC Magazine and PC World. They also have a component section where you can pick all of your peripherals.
The other thing is, the best source for the cheapest components on the web, PriceWatch.com
http://www.pricewatch.comBut this site is good only if you know what you're looking for. I made my kick ass PC with 19" FlatScreen CRT, 512Mb Ram, 2x40Gb 7200 HDDs, DVD,CDRW, Ati Radeon 8500 128Mb ram for $850.
Cheers.

Get your RAM from Crucial: http://www.crucial.com
If you happen to live in California give Fry's a try for some good deals on parts:

yeah, if there's a fry's in your area, your'e in luck! plus it makes returns easier if you wanna save/gamble on generic memory. i personally got a mobo that supports std dimm and ddr memory so when i feel like spending the extra bucks, i can upgrade later. consider AMD if you wanna save some money, but don't skimp on your video card. get a nice flat sceen monitor, but i don't recommend flat panel unless money isn't an option... the cheap ones are literally just that.
my 2 scatterbrained cents.

just buy a complete one. (if you have the cash)
i just put my own together piece by piece over a couple months.
for about $100 bucks more i could have got a much better pc.
