UK Laptop in Europe

I'm taking my UK Powerbook to France, do I need to get an adaptor for it apart from the usual French 2 pin plug adaptor? I heard somewhere that the different hz / voltage can knacker the batteries.

no, just get the plug adapter (about £5) - the voltage is sorted by the pb power adapter

you can also use the phone cable (take it out of the back of the phone, and into you pb) wherever you are staying for internet (but it will be a international call of course)

i use my darn mobile most of the time when im away as a dial-up - try that when youre used to adsl
