    heres the deal:

    illustrator file 1
    opened in bbedit (to check character count) : 161,400 characters, saved as version 8: 188k

    same illustrator file, saved as version 10, opened in bbedit: 116,000 characters, cleaned up swatches: 212k

    how can the first file be LESS than the first? is my mac defying the laws of physics???

    anybody got any idea's?
