Act! Alternatives for Mac

a client of mine uses Act (see http://www.act.com ) as his contact manager / database application.
unfortunately they don't make it for the mac anymore. (still at 2.0, while PC is at 6.0). he wants to move to something else. it has been suggested he use MS Entourage.
He is a photographer and needs to keep track of client information, includng which artwork they have, and what edition numbers for each piece of artwork.
he also wants it to automatically fill out address portion and name portion of letters he sends out to all clients when printing mass mailings, and invoicing.
is entourage his solution? would you suggest a combination of applications? what do you think?

all i know is that ACT! email sucks really really bad. that's all i know =)

so will entourage do all that stuff?
+ auto populate mass mailing addresses
+ auto populate mass mailing names in the letter
+ provide space to add details on what each person has purchased
+ etc.
