CD-RW advice

I'm about to buy a CD-Writer, but I need you're advice!
Machine profile: PC 400mhz, CD-ROM drive, 256ram, 25gig drive + 10gig drive, IEEE video card (pinacle) and no DVD, oh yeah! WIN2000 Pro.
Anyone had good/bad experience with one of those listed items?

Look into the software you want to use and just make sure your CD burner is supported by it.
Generally CD burners are like hard drives - you get a bad one if you get a bad one, no matter what brand.

agreed, and as for software, i recommend Roxio.

never had any problems with my mitsumi -- i think lacie makes nice ones

I didnt like roxio, I use nero.

If you have money buy a Plextor you can copy everything with it...
Or buy Liteon cheap (doesn't mean bad) and good working drives...
Never buy Yamaha (I got a bad experience with it, a kind of type 4)
for the writing software I choosed NERO (htpp://www.ahead.de) one of the easiest and best working burning tools. or CloneCD for duplications.
