i heard that lucas developed technology that allows them to digitally broadcast their movies to theaters around the world, thus eliminating the need for theaters to buy film reels.
anyone know of details about this?

They're already using digital technology for the pre-show slide ads (in california anyway) and it anoys the crap out of me because you can see all the pixels, especially in all the fonts. I Wish they'd use a higher resolution ;)
